Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Octo Ventures ("I," "me," or "Octo Ventures") collects, uses, and shares information through TallyUp (the "App") and this website. If you have questions about this policy, contact me using the information at the end of this page.
Data I Collect
Through the App, I collect limited analytics and crash-diagnostic data using my own Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure:
- Usage data, such as which features you use and how you interact with the App
- Crash and performance diagnostics, such as crash logs and app stability data
- Device identifiers, such as an anonymous or device-level ID used to associate diagnostic data with a device
I do not collect your name, email address, physical address, contacts, photos, location, or payment information through the App, and the App does not require you to create an account.
This website loads the Font Awesome icon library via its hosted "Kit" script, which may collect minimal, non-identifying technical data as described in Font Awesome's privacy policy.
How I Use This Data
I use the data described above only to:
- Understand how the App is used so I can improve it
- Identify and fix crashes and performance issues
- Maintain the security and stability of the App
I do not use this data for advertising, and I do not sell it to anyone.
How Your Data Is Stored and Processed
I use Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store and process the usage and diagnostic data described above. AWS acts solely as my infrastructure provider: it stores and processes this data under my configuration and control, and I am the only one who reviews it. AWS does not independently access, use, or share this data for its own purposes, in the same way any cloud hosting provider processes data on behalf of the businesses that use it. I do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party.
Tracking
The App does not use advertising or attribution SDKs, and it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. If that ever changes, I will update this policy and request your permission as required.
Data Retention
I retain analytics and crash-diagnostic data in my AWS infrastructure only as long as needed to diagnose issues and improve the App, after which it is deleted. I do not store copies of this data anywhere outside my own AWS infrastructure.
Your Rights and Choices
Because the App does not require an account, there's no in-app account to delete. If you'd like to know more about, or request deletion of, the analytics or diagnostic data associated with your device, contact me using the information below and I will locate and delete it from my AWS infrastructure. Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights under laws like the GDPR or CCPA; contact me and I'll do my best to help.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided me with data, contact me and I will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
I may update this policy as the App or my practices change. I'll update the "Last updated" date above when I do. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
